Guidelines

The book trailer must answer at least three of the questions below and may be no longer than 5 minutes in length.

iRead

There are no restrictions on the books that may be read as part of the iRead iCreate iShare incentive program. Anyone can participate--all ages are welcome, and you can read and share any book you choose. The more you love the book you choose, the more fun you'll have creating the book trailer.

After reading the book, create a book trailer that sells the book to other readers. The book trailer must answer at least three of the questions below:
  • Which characters do you particularly admire or dislike? What are their primary characteristics?
  • What might happen next if the book didn't end?
  • Who in the book would you most like to meet and why?
  • What lesson did you learn from the book?
  • What did you find surprising in this book?
  • What did you learn from, take away from, or get out of this book?
  • Would this book make a good movie? Why or why not?
  • Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
  • Where did the book take place? How would it be different if it happened at your school or in your hometown?
  • How did the author create and keep your interest?
  • Why did you choose this book to read and share?

Publish your book trailer online! Make sure NOT to include your full name or any other identifiable information. If you need some help with finding creation tools or examples of other book trailers, visit the Resources page.
